THE IDEA OF THE „ADVENTURE DRIVE"

The "Arena" at the Geneva Motor Show -covering a surface of more than 2‘000m² - will host the only indoor offroad track of an international motor show in the world. This large interactive promotion called „Adventure Drive" is based upon the experience of the past years.

The Arena is situated directly at the main entrance with the best frequencies of visitors and adjacent to the main station, the airport, the covered parking and the shuttle buses. Tough independent from the show, this attraction is an integrated and signaled part of one of the worlds most visited motor shows.

The visitor is invited to enjoy a demonstration ride as a passenger of an experienced pilot and to "feel" the demanding offroad track and to explore the possibilities of the four-wheel-drive vehicles.

The visitors get a close look at the handling capabilities and performance of the various SUV’s assisted by the explanations of the professional crew.


THE REALISATION OF THE „ADVENTURE DRIVE"

During the whole period of the Geneva Motor Show 1999, including the two press days, the professionally built offroad track is available for all visitors - free of charge.

A number of approximately twelve SUV’s of current and up-to-date models being imported in Switzerland are ready for their demonstration rides. The vehicles circulate in a "zip-system" which allows a constant rotation of all cars and guarantees an optimal frequency for the visitors.

A promotional surface for POS, etc. is available right at the entrance of the Arena, adjacent to the hall 7 and the main entrance.

The visual presence of the products and services displayed in the „Adventure Drive" are guaranteed by the large promotional areas for banners and alike.

THE ANIMATION IN THE „ADVENTURE DRIVE"

The „Adventure Drive" is planed to be enhanced by the following attractions under the name of „Adventure World" as

                „Adventure Village" with a „Country-Festival" being held on an evening
                 and live music, BBQ, etc.

                „Adventure Action" - a „Bull-Riding"-contest and demonstration runs with an ATV

                „Adventure People" - a „Miss- and Mr.-Adventure"-contest

                „Adventure Fashion" - a fashion show

                „Adventure Food" - an offer of various food

                „Adventure Play" - an offer of interactive video games

                „Adventure Cloths" - an offer of merchandising

                „Adventure Net" - a web-site in the Internet „adventure-drive.ch"



THE POSSIBILITIES IN THE „ADVENTURE DRIVE"

The partners of the „Adventure Drive" are presented in a optimal way with a great visual impact. The goal is to create as many possible contacts to the public, professional visitors, the press and the other exhibitors.


THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE „ADVENTURE DRIVE"

The Arena offers a wide variety of amenities as

  • VIP-Salon with personalized catering for guests for lunches, cocktails, etc.
    (Bookings on a „first come, first booked"-basis)
  • Storage
  • Showers and toilettes
  • Etc.


THE ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY STANDARDS IN THE „ADVENTURE DRIVE"

The „Adventure Drive" takes care in a proper way of all environmental aspects. A specially built ventilation system is responsible for clean and safe air standards. All polluted air is extracted and evacuated to the outside. The vehicles are only running at "idle" speeds and their constant use reduces the exhaust emissions. The noise emissions are minimal, if not even noticeable. All other safety measures as first aid, fire- and accident prevention as well as personal safety are taken care of and regularly controlled.

All passengers are of the „Adventure Drive" are insured.


THE DRIVING FORCES BEHIND THE „ADVENTURE DRIVE"

Since 1995 the organizers of the "Adventure Drive" - Rinspeed AG and Activity Office AG - have concepted and executed interactive attractions at the Geneva Motor Show. The goal is the create a marketing orientated presentation in which the visitor plays an active role and the partners receive an extraordinary return of investment. More than 300'000 visitors are becoming part of these attractions in the Arena each year.

The „Adventure Drive" had its premiere at the 1998 edition of the Geneva Motor Show. This nature inspired environment and the demanding offroad track were the base of big success.
